VITEEE 2024

The VITEEE Exam is taken for admission in Btech to VIT(Vellore Institution of Technology) colleges. There are four branches of VIT: VIT Bhopal, VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, and VIT Amravati, which take admission based on VITEEE 2024 scores.

The VIT 2024 application has started. The VIT 2024 application form’s last date is March 30, 2024. The VITEEE 2024 exam will be taken in computer-based mode.

After the VITEEE 2024 exam, there will be counseling to gain admission to VIT colleges, the details of which will be announced after the exams. You will get these details in your email. The VITEEE 2024 counseling will be done in 5 phases. You will get admission based on your rank in the exam.

Eligibility criteria

Age limit:

  • Candidates born after July 1, 2002, are eligible to apply.

Exam Qualification:

  • To take the VITEEE 2024, candidates should have passed any of the following qualifying exams or plan to take one in 2024:
    1. Final examination of the Class 12 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi.
    2. Intermediate or two-year pre-university test administered by an accredited university or board.
    3. International Baccalaureate Diploma or the Cambridge University High School Certificate Examination offered by the International Baccalaureate Office in Geneva.
    4. Advanced (A) level General Certificate Education (GCE) test (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka).
    5. Regular “NIOS” board applicants are also eligible for VITEEE under VIT norms. They must present the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate upon joining.
    6. Applicants may apply if they have completed formal, full-time, regular education.

Documents required

All the necessary documents passport size photo, Aadhar card or any valid ID, and 10th and 12th class certificate are required for VITEEE 2024 Application.

Application Process

Step 1: Registration of New Users

  • Ensure your mobile number and email address are operational.
  • Enter all relevant information carefully during registration.
  • Verify your mobile number using the OTP sent, and you will receive a password for your registered email address.
  • All communications will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address.

Step 2: Log in as a Registered User

  • Log in using your current cellphone number and working email address.

Step 3: Completing the Online Application

  • Fill out all the necessary fields with great care.
  • After entering basic information, a unique application number will be generated. Remember to use this number for any future correspondence.

Step 4: Making Payment

  • Pay the Rs. 1,350 application fee using Paytm, Net Banking Account, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
  • For exam centers abroad, the fee is equivalent to USD 90 in Indian rupees.
  • The application fee is non-refundable.

Step 5: Uploading your Photo and Signature

  • Follow these guidelines for photo upload:
    • Taken in a studio by a professional, in color.
    • No focus blur or glare from glasses.
    • Save the file with a JPEG extension.
    • The file size should be between 20 and 300 kB.
    • Height should be between 400 and 550 pixels, and width between 300 and 400 pixels.
    • Exposure should be balanced—neither too bright nor too dark.

Step 6: Download the Completed Application

  • Once all steps are completed, download the completed application for your records.

Application fee

1350 rupees are required to fill out the application form for VITEEE 2024 and 90 USD for international test centers.

Exam Pattern

The exam features five sections: math/biology, physics, chemistry, aptitude, and English. All questions are MCQs, and the method of equi-percentile is adopted for merit list preparation.

  1. MPCEA (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude):
    • Mathematics: 40 questions
    • Physics: 35 questions
    • Chemistry: 35 questions
    • English: 5 questions
    • Aptitude: 10 questions
  2. BPCEA (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, Aptitude):
    • Biology: 40 questions
    • Physics: 35 questions
    • Chemistry: 35 questions
    • English: 5 questions
    • Aptitude: 10 questions

The total duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Result and Previous Year Cutoff

The result of the VITEEE 2024 exam is expected on May 3, 2024. Candidates can check their results by logging on to the official website of VIT.

Selection Process

  1. Ranking Basis: The ranking obtained through the Computer Based Test (CBT) VITEEE 2024 determines selection.
  2. Online Counseling: Selected individuals may participate in online counseling based on their ranking.
  3. Options Provided: Options for campus, program, and cost category may be provided during counseling.
  4. Allocation: Allocation is based on the attained rank, expressed preference, and availability during online counseling.
  5. Counseling Locations: Applicants can receive counseling at all four campuses of VIT—VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT AP, and VIT Bhopal—if their rank is up to one lakh. Rank holders above one lakh will receive counseling only at VIT-AP and VIT-Bhopal.
  6. Confirmation of Eligibility: VIT will confirm candidates’ eligibility once the tuition fee is paid in full by the deadline.
  7. Documentation: Candidates must provide documentation on the day of reporting to the school or upon request from the Office of Admissions.
  8. Provisional Admission: Provisional admission offered during counseling will be valid only if the eligibility criteria are met.
